LSupper Late Night Diner - Hawthorn

Okay this sandwich is not for the faint-hearted. Our take on the classic Nashville fried chicken and a seriously spicy chicken 'sandwich'. We start with our mega thick bread (actually it's a gorgeously soft pita roll), butter and toast it. To this we add crispy fried chicken thighs seasoned with our spiciest mix, some house-made pickles and the hottest Mexican sauce we have. A 9.5 on the heat scale. If you like eating and sweating at the same time this is for you.

What fills those munchy cravings better than a big hotdog and fries. Not just any hotdog but some of the best smoked pork frankfurts in Melbourne (Andrew's Choice). They're crisp and give a crunchy snap with each bite. We add onion jam, pickle salsa, mustard dill mayo and a mildly spicy BBQ sauce as our base hotdog. You can simplify this or make it a mega dog with options of melted cheese, bacon or spicy jalapenos. Comes with a medium serve of crunchy fries. Option for 2 hotdogs and no fries.

Deep south fried spicy popcorn chicken. We marinate overnight pure chicken thighs in our own blend of special spices. And then fry crisp on the outside but also deliciously tender and moist on the inside. We then add our own spicy seasoning to make it moderately spicy. Great as a side if you're really peckish or on its own. Spicy.

For a late night serve of everyone's favourite - good old Fish and Chips: 2 pieces of crisp tempura battered fish, a generous serve of crunchy fries, a wedge of lemon and our own tartare sauce. Cooked to order.

For something light but tasty try our grilled chicken Caesar salad. Two grilled chicken tenderloins, crisp cos lettuce leaves, grated Parmesan cheese, bacon bits and along with a Caesar dressing.

If you're after something substantial with rice try our spicy Korean fried chicken box. Comes with a generous serve of crispy fried chicken strips (spicy of course), freshly steamed rice, Kimchi (can't be Korean without Kimchi...right!), some pickles and a roasted sesame sauce. We wanted to call it a Bento Box but that wouldn't be very Korean but you get the idea. A complete late night meal. Medium spicy.

This is a snack that's half hotdog half loaded fries. We start with a double serving of crunchy potato fries, crumble a big serve of Andrew's Choice (only the best here) smoky frankfurter, add our renowned chipotle mayo, some mustard dill mayo and then finish with tomato sauce and a smoky Nashville seasoning. Great as a side or as a snack on their own. Spicy.
